STAB! Improv Short Form

DESCRIPTION:

(STAB! Improv Foundations is In Person Only)

In one sentence: This class will teach you short-form improv games, and why it is the best training tool for performing all disciplines of improv.

About the class: In six weeks, you will learn the basic structures that make short-form improv the most popular form of improv for performers and audience members. The bulk of teaching will be on the specific styles of scene work that make short form games pop. That scene work will then be applied to games and exercises all built to reinforce the ideas of playing fast, free and funny. Other skills covered include:

Building distinct characters with simple choices
Finding relationships and motivations with speed and ease
Giving clues and answering in guessing games
Forming and delivering puns on the fly
Feeling confident, relaxed and energetic on stage

Note: Our sessions are limited to a specific amount of attendees. Once a session is purchased, refunds will not be available. However, if you aren't able to attend a session once you've signed up, we will do our best to make accommodations for your situation.

None.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Kameron has been hooked on improv and comedy since his youth, partially because of the most recognizable brand in improv, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

He began performing in 2012, learning everything he knows about short form at CSz-Sacramento, Home of ComedySportz. He has previously taught short-form to middle-school and high-schoolers as well as adults.

He currently hosts STAB! shows I the Internet and Improvivor, hosts STAB! Jam, and regularly guest performs on Scene Kids and the STAB! show.
